Living space
The entrance hall leads in to the centre of the lodge. Turn right and
enter into the large living space,
which consists of an open plan kitchen and dining area, and through
on to one of the two lounges.
The large
open plan kitchen with massive granite island that encompasses
a five ring hob, an undercut
sink and a breakfast bar with bar stools is a great social area for
cooking and preparing meals together.
The kitchen is fully equipped
with a large fridge and freezer, pull out drawers and larder cupboards
which contain an extensive array of dishes, pots, pans and all modern
appliances. There are two fan ovens,
a microwave, dishwasher, heating drawer and even
a boiling water tap to make food preparation easy.
On the other side of the island is a huge, individually designed, locally
made elm wood table (made by local craftsmen, Mark Samuels
of Grantown on Spey) round which you can comfortably all enjoy a meal
together, enhancing that special occasion.
The double sided wood burning stove
adds even more character to the dining area, as do the six
metre glass doors that open from the kitchen dining
area onto one of the extensive outdoor
decking areas for inside/outside living in the good
weather.
Leading through to the other side of the wood burning stove is a lounge
with extremely comfortable reclining leather
sofas and more bespoke tables, this time made from oak.
There is a wall mounted 46" TV with
full Sky package and wonderful framed photographs mounted
on the wall by local photographer, James Gordon of Boat of Garten.
Imagine sitting round the cracklng log
fire, listening to your favourite music, a dram in your
hand chatting into the wee small hours.
Extensive choices in lighting options
throughout enhance your mood of the moment.
To the left of the entrance hall is a large family room with a huge
L shaped leather sofa and two South and West facing
glass walls. It is a marvellous space to snuggle up with a book, watch
the wildlife, appreciate the extensive beautiful landscape or enjoy
and laugh with friends or family while using the XBox
360 Kinect on the 42" flat screen TV or sit watching
a film together on the DVD player.
The Strathspey steam train
can also be seen puffing away on the other side of the Strath, a truly
wonderful space to enjoy.
Upstairs there is a gallery area with
leather settee that overlooks the dining and sitting
area, a lovely area to unwind and relax with a good book or play a board
game from the bookcase.
Another little bit of luxury!
At Aspen Lodge the built-in
sauna made from Aspen wood, is a superb space to relax
with friends. Adjacent to this is a large
family bathroom fitted out in stunning
black slate for all to use, when you have been in the
sauna or anytime - simply spectacular.
When you think it can't get any better it does!
Also for your relaxation, there is a large
outdoor hot tub for you to enjoy perhaps with a loved
one staring at the starry sky
or catching up with the chat from friends, a truly memorable experience.
