Birchwood Lodge Full Details
Birchwood Lodge is a fantastic, boutique, designer Lodge, which can sleep 12 guests in spacious luxury.
As you enter the Lodge be prepared to be completely overwhelmed!!! Once in the front door, the huge open plan living area opens up in front of you. Step down into the large, airy sitting room which has so much glass, you could almost be sitting in the woodland itself. There are big comfortable leather sofas to relax in, or watch the large flat screen television which has the full Sky package. The Lodge also features an MP3 dock and free Wi-Fi internet access. The lounge has direct access to the front Decked area.
Adjacent to the sitting room is the kitchen which has been designed for fun, sociable cooking, and has every possible modern appliance you need including a conventional oven, steam oven, and Induction Hob. There are masses of storage cupboards and a full walk in pantry for all your provisions. Importantly, there is even a wine cooler!!! The large utility room leads off from the kitchen. It has a washing machine and separate tumble dryer, additional fridge and cabinet freezer. There is also a back door leading outside.
The dining area sits next to the kitchen, and the huge oak table seats 12 guests comfortably, for a stunning Family Meal, or sociable Breakfast. Within the Dining Area, there is a modern and unusual real Log Stove, with logs supplied.
The Quiet Room (snug!) is off the entrance hallway, and this is a great peaceful space for reading, playing board games, or just relaxing. Inside the front door, there is ample space in the cloakroom area for hanging outdoor jackets and footwear. There is also a pay phone here.
Also downstairs there is a conveniently located twin bedroom with an en-suite bath and shower room. From this room there are French windows which open onto the decking at the front of the house. (Tip: Hot Tub Fans, take this room!)The wardrobe area is more than ample.
Climb the solid oak staircase leading to the other 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom has superb views through the extensive windows to the woods and the hills beyond. From this bedroom French windows open out to the East-Facing balcony, a perfect place for your morning cofee or a "Sundowner". This is a lovely light room with total privacy because of the surrounding trees. The bathroom has double sinks and a walk in shower. There are two further bedrooms with king size beds and their own en suite shower rooms. All of these bedrooms have Flat-Screen TV/DVD's with Freeview.
The family bedroom has 4 full-size single beds, and makes an ideal room for children or adults alike. The spacious upper floor family Bathroom with bath and shower services this bedroom. Next to this room is a childrens recreational area, where they can safely watch TV or play on the Wii Games Consul.
There is a double garage where sports equipment and bikes can be stored. It also has a table tennis table - ideal for family tournaments!
The wooded outside area, features a luxurious top of the range outdoor Hot Tub, perfect for relaxing after a busy day of activities, or enjoying an evening "Sundowner", and perhaps viewing the hills you walked on earlier in the day. There is of course a BBQ area for Al Fresco Dining and socialising.
