Wendy McKay
Owner | Director
Wendy plays a key role in the day-to-day running and strategic direction of Great North Lodges, while leading the company’s sales and marketing. She is responsible for promoting the portfolio, strengthening the Great North Lodges brand, and ensuring each property stands out in an increasingly competitive market. Passionate about exceptional customer experiences and showcasing the very best of the Scottish Highlands, Wendy is always looking for new ways to support the business, its property owners and its guests.
When she’s not at work: You’ll usually find Wendy on the tennis court, walking her dog, skiing whenever the Scottish snow arrives, or spending time with family and friends.
Ken Pritchard
Owner | Director
With over 40 years of experience in the property industry and over 20 years specifically in the self catering sector, Ken brings a wealth of expertise to Great North Lodges. He oversees the operational side of the business and works closely with property owners ensuring every home meets the highest standards for guests. As the team’s go-to expert for property matters, licensing and planning, Ken provides practical advice and guidance, helping owners maximise the potential of their holiday homes while supporting the continued growth and success of the business.
When he’s not at work: You’ll often find Ken out on the water sailing, walking his dog Rufus, getting out on his bike, or enjoying time with his family.
Mark Tate
Non Executive Director
Mark brings more than 30 years of executive leadership experience, delivering strategic projects across a diverse range of organisations in the UK and overseas. Having previously led the Cairngorms Business Partnership for eight years, he has a deep understanding of the region, its tourism industry and the opportunities that support both local businesses and visitors. His strategic insight and extensive knowledge of the Cairngorms make him a valuable part of the Great North Lodges leadership team.
When he’s not at work: Mark enjoys skiing and ski touring, exploring the Highlands by bike, and heading off in his campervan to discover new places.
Jenny Sime
Guest Services Manager
Jenny oversees our guest services and booking administration, ensuring every reservation is managed smoothly from the moment a guest books until they return home. With a genuine passion for customer service and an eye for detail, she works tirelessly to make every stay as seamless and enjoyable as possible. Whether helping guests before they arrive or supporting them during their holiday, Jenny plays a key role in delivering the warm, personal service that Great North Lodges is known for.
When she’s not at work: Jenny is a keen tennis player and Secretary of her local tennis club. When she’s not on the court, she loves spending time with family and friends and getting out and about to enjoy everything the Highlands has to offer.
