Carbon Offset
At Great North Lodges we believe that being in business carries a responsibility. We are delighted therefore, to work in partnership with SCOTLAND: The Big Picture, a charity driving the recovery of nature across Scotland through rewilding.
In addition to an annual donation made by Great North Lodges to help lock away carbon and boost biodiversity, we plan to offer our guests the opportunity to offset their own travel and holiday emissions. In doing so, we are all working together to help create new habitats that provide a home for red squirrels, ospreys and beavers. We hope our guests will join us on our journey to reduce our carbon footprint and help rewild Scotland.
Remember everything we do has an impact but we do not have to stop enjoying holidays and travel. However, it is important that we are aware of our impact and do what we can to minimise it.
Rewilding is one of the most effective ways of locking away carbon, boosting nature and supporting communities.
