About Rivercroft

Tucked away near the peaceful hamlet of Dulnain Bridge, Rivercroft is a striking, architect-designed home built on the grounds of the original family croft. Blending contemporary design with natural materials, this stylish escape offers floor-to-ceiling windows that perfectly frame the sweeping views of the surrounding Highland countryside, a view you’ll never tire of.

Inside, the home is thoughtfully laid out for both relaxation and adventure. The ground-floor master bedroom enjoys access to a Jack and Jill bathroom, ideal for privacy and convenience. A spacious boot room ensures there’s plenty of space for muddy boots, wet coats, or outdoor gear after a day exploring the Cairngorms.

A fabulous glass balustrade staircase leads to the upper floor, where you’ll find a light-filled twin bedroom , a peaceful double bedroom and a family shower room set between them, perfect for families or friends travelling together.

Please note: Rivercroft has a private spring water supply, providing fresh Highland water straight from the source.

Whether you're watching the ever-changing skies from the comfort of the sofa or returning from a day of hillwalking, Rivercroft offers the perfect mix of luxury, heritage, and Highland charm.

Short Break

Beautiful lodge .Spotlessly clean and very well equipped for a self catering holiday. Dogs loved the very large wrap around garden. Awesome hot tub. Road closure didnt cause us too much bother but considering the bridge has been closed since December it would have been good to get more than a weeks notice of closure .

Thank you for leaving us a top mark review, we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at Rivercroft. It is in the perfect location for those seeking a bit of peace & tranquility, especially if you're bringing your 4-legged friends! We also appreciate your feedback regarding the road closure notifications. The bridge has been closed since December but the lodge remains fully accessible from the direction of Carrbridge. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope to welcome you back for another stay soon.

The most magical weekend
on Thursday, 04 Jun 2026
Myself and my partner were coming to the area of Aviemore to elope with our 3 children. I knew I wanted accommodation based off a fireplace and a hot tub. I am so grateful we came across Rivercroft. It was in the perfect location to all areas we had planned to go over our stay, it had all the amenities I required and it was situated in such private grounds with little to no traffic, or people/houses. It was simply perfect. On arrival we had opened the doors to the most magnificent house and welcomed to a card and some bubbly, along with shortbread and Prosecco. What a kind and thoughtful idea. The house itself is just beautiful. Large spacious rooms with plenty of communal areas and the most stunning views from the lounge area. It’s so peaceful and perfect I could go on for days with just how much we loved the area and accommodation. The hot tub was a great addition and our children spent a huge amount of time in it throughout our stay. The fireplace - albeit it’s the middle of spring/summer and the heat was high - I couldn’t not experience the fireplace at least once looking out on to the views in front. It was genuinely the most spectacular stay we had. We will absolutely be back next year and hope to stay for longer.

Wonderful House

I highly recommend staying at this beautiful place. It was so welcoming and cozy. Everything was well appointed and homey. The drive was challenging because the easy access way of the bridge was closed. Otherwise, everything was wonderful. Thank you!

We agree, Rivercroft is a wonderful house and we are delighted you enjoyed your stay! The temporary bridge closure definitely does add a bit to your journey to get there but it's worth it when you do. Thank you for leaving such a positive review of your stay.
