Holidays are coming!

Holidays are coming!

Badenoch and Strathspey has so much going on over the festive period to make your holiday a special memory to keep forever….

Real Reindeer!

How about seeing Santa and his reindeer on Christmas eve in Aviemore? That’s real reindeer from The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd.

The Christmas Eve parade is a free event and can be seen in Aviemore or Grantown-on-Spey. Aviemore’s parade is from 6pm on the 24th December from the fire station and there is a pipe band and mulled wine along with carol signing and mince pies! This is an event not to be missed!

Be Organised

We have two fantastic local meat producers where you can order your Christmas dinner in advance from either Rothiemurchus Estate or Ballifurth Farm Shop.

Run Like Santa

Santa Run for charity, this family fun event is held every year and will be raising funds for adaptive snow sport through Disability Snowsport UK.

All Aboard!

If, like us, you love a mince pie then you need to try them on a Steam Train! Book your tickets for a Strathspey Steam Railway mince pie

Hogmanay Celebrations

The Old Bridge Inn and La Taverna in Aviemore are having Hogmanay parties or you can go to Grantown on Spey and party in the square from 11pm until 1am with fireworks to mark the bells.

Start With A Splash!

To get the New Year off to a great start why not take a dip in Loch Insh, the dip raises funds for local charites each year. The dip takes place on the beach at Loch Insh at 10am on the 1st January and you must enter before the day if you are brave enough!

These are just a few ideas for a festive break at Great North Lodges, we hope to see you at one of these events or picking up your Christmas food from the farm shops.

To book your stay or to check our availability over Christmas and New Year call Linda or Wendy on 01479 812266.

Christmas and New Year availability is also online at Great North Lodges.
