About Station Cottage

This detached cottage was built circa 1850 and its recent renovation has ensured that much of its original character has been retained with the original timber lined walls and granite fireplace. Station cottage has an open plan living room with a modern kitchen and has been tastefully decorated. The focal point is the feature stone wall which divides the living areas and houses the wood burning stove.

There are three bedrooms consisting of two double bedrooms and bunk room with two single beds.

Two decked areas lie to the front with a BBQ, seating area and large enclosed front garden.

Station Cottage offered me a great base for my trip. It's a clean and well maintained property, the description on the website is pretty accurate. The large enclosed garden provided a fabulous space for my dog to run around in and it was lovely to see the birds on the feeder on the Rowan tree too (take your own bird seeds). Thanks to the office for sorting my one query very quickly, it's great to get good customer service. I've been before, stayed this week on my own and will retun again next month with friends, which says it all.

A lovely stay

Comfortable, well-equipped property with rustic charm. Fully enclosed large garden which is ideal for dogs and children. The property is ideally located on the edge of the village but only a one minute walk from cafe and shop. Have already booked a return stay.

Happy enough with our stay. Wanted it for the location to do some birdwatching.

We were very happy with the cottage and location. However, the cushions and blankets on the sofas were smelling of dogs. There was also quite a few dog hairs on the "throw" in the "on suite" room which was a shame. There was a note telling guests not to allow there pets on the sofas but obviously, they had not read it. Other than that, we were very happy with the cottage.

“We had a wonderful stay at Station Cottage. The property setting is peaceful and beautiful. We loved the size of the enclosed garden. The property was a lot more spacious than we expected and had a cosy, homely feel. It was very well equipped and had everything you could think of needing as a home away from home. It spotlessly clean when we arrived and had a welcoming feel. We loved the master bedroom and en suite and also enjoyed lighting the fire in the evening. We used the property as a base to explore the beautiful local area. There are some wonderful walks and bike rides from just outside the front door which we thoroughly enjoyed. The local shop is well stocked and we used the supermarket in Aviemore. All in all we had a fantastic stay and can't wait to book again. Many thanks!”
