About Station Cottage

Station Cottage is a charming detached cottage that was built circa 1850 and its recent renovation has ensured that much of its original character has been retained with the original timber lined walls and granite fireplace. Station cottage has an open plan living room with a modern kitchen and has been tastefully decorated. The focal point is the feature stone wall which divides the living areas and houses the wood burning stove.

There are three bedrooms consisting of two double bedrooms and bunk room with two single beds.

Two decked areas lie to the front with a BBQ, seating area and large enclosed front garden.

Really lovely holiday

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Station Cottage (2 adults, 2 kids and a dog!) It was a really comfortable and cosy home from home. It had everything we needed from a cooking perspective and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The butchers just a few doors down was incredible. It was in a great location to enjoy some brilliant activities - we walked around Loch Morlich, enjoyed quad biking and white water rafting - so fun.

Perfect for a week walking in the Cairngorms

This was our second stay at Station Cottage and we are already looking to book our next stay. We are a party of two adults and this is perfect for us. The front porch is an an excellent place to leave wet boots and coats to dry - the inside is perfect for relaxing after a day's walking in the forests, around lochs, riverside and up the mountains. There are plenty of walks to do without jumping in the car. We highly recommend Nethy House cafe for breakfast, lunch, coffee and/or cake. We were made to feel so welcome and even joined in one of their yoga classes. There is also a butchers/grocery shop and a convenience store, both of which are well stocked with a wide range of products. The cottage is warm, plenty of hot water, well-equipped and feels like home. We always sleep well here, comfortable and quiet. Cant wait to return :)

A lovely stay in a beautiful cottage!

My family and I had a wonderful time at Station Cottage last week. It was like a home from home with comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. The wood burner was an added bonus and we felt very cosy with it on in the evenings. The village is beautiful, as is the surrounding area and the butchers shop almost next door and the premier shop just up the road came in really handy. We were really lucky that we were able to book this little gem very last minute as our air b n b had to be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. The customer service was second to none with all the information being sent over in advance. I even received a phone call on Friday afternoon asking if we wanted to check in early as the cottage was ready which I thought was a really lovely touch. “We had a wonderful stay at Station Cottage. The property setting is peaceful and beautiful. We loved the size of the enclosed garden. The property was a lot more spacious than we expected and had a cosy, homely feel. It was very well equipped and had everything you could think of needing as a home away from home. It spotlessly clean when we arrived and had a welcoming feel. We loved the master bedroom and en suite and also enjoyed lighting the fire in the evening. We used the property as a base to explore the beautiful local area. There are some wonderful walks and bike rides from just outside the front door which we thoroughly enjoyed. The local shop is well stocked and we used the supermarket in Aviemore. All in all we had a fantastic stay and can't wait to book again. Many thanks!”
