Kincraig Village
Kincraig is a village located just north of Kingussie, a few miles south of Aviemore in the Highlands of Scotland. Be it the sight of the majestic Cairngorms or the sound of the River Spey, nature’s symphony is at your doorstep here. The village and surrounding area is home to picturesque, hidden lochs and enchanted forests. Its original name was Boat of Inch, reflecting the ferry boat crossing of the Spey River that once operated here. The name was changed after a single track bridge was erected around 1871. Renowned for its wildlife park, beautiful Loch Insh, and historic landmarks, Kincraig offers a taste of authentic Highland life.
Local artist Ann Vastano and her family run the “Old Post Office Cafe Gallery” in the village. Here you can buy her art and some amazing food. The village is close to the Loch Inch Outdoor Centre and The Highland Wildlife Park both great family days out.
Alvie & Dalraddy Estates are family owned traditional Highland Estates near the village of Kincraig. Both offer a variety of activities including zip wires, clay pigeon shooting, archery, horse riding, walking, fishing and bird-watching.
